The nook is founded by Hannah Emmerich.
Hannah has over 15 years experience in hairdressing, with training from both L’Oréal and Vidal Sassoon. She has expressed her creativity on numerous photoshoots, including at London Fashion Week.
Hannah travelled, lived and worked in several places around the world, incuding London and Melbourne, before settling in Sheffield.
Outside of hairdressing Hannah likes good coffee and good food. Spending time with her family and is a film addict.
Emelya
Emelya has been Cutting, Colouring and Hair Upping for over 16 years and loves every aspect of the industry, now even more than the day she joined it.
2020 has taught us how important self care is and Emelya want to be part of making you feel as amazing as you deserve to feel, whether you long for a complete transformation or to learn how to make the most out of your natural locks. She'll be your go to for not-so-traditional bridal hair, vintage looks, sharp cuts and funky colours.
Originally from Devon and has lived in Bristol, Emelya can’t get enough of Sheffield. She loves exploring the city and the Peak District with her illustrator husband. She loves to read and listen to some live music.

Laura
With over 7 years experience Laura believes firmly in listening to what clients want, and helping them to achieve it. Her aim is to make people feel comfortable at all times.
She loves creating new hair-ups and hairstyles, so your go to for all things wedding hair.
Her layered and sharp haircuts finished off with bouncy blowouts speak for themselves. Her cutting skills dont end there, all things curl and natural texture are also a love of Laura’s.
Specialising in Balayage and blondes but loves vibrant colours and colour change. She also specialises in hair extensions, including weaves and tape in keratin bonds.
On her days off she keeps herself busy with sports and a good book.

Aine
With a love for creating funky, textured and edgy hair cuts as well as working with natural texture for lived in looks.
She is down to earth with a passion for the environment, this spills into her love and creating easy to maintain hair. Believing less in more and takes a more holistic approach to hairdressing in corporating a love for herbalism.
With a background in barbering she is the one for undercuts/fades and beard trims. Your go to if you have wild ideas for your hair.
Her hobbies include wild swimming, ariel hoop and exploring the county in her van.
Alice
“Your local neurodivergent hairdresser extrodinaire” - Alice. She has been a dresser of hair for 13 years and counting and loves expanding her skill set and loves experimenting with all things hair. Her favourite services include Balayage - a distinctive yet low maintainance option for highlights that allows for natural root growth. Hit Alice up for shag and mullet cuts, offering extra volume and enhancing the natural texture within your hair.
Offering a safe space for all and for neurodivergent clients, she will be guided by your needs, be that a quieter appointment or through covering the mirror. Inclusive, accomadating and understanding. Aloce is a mum, a gamer and a shameless tiktok scroller. Enjoys dancing with her friends when she gets a chance.
Lauren
Lauren, our new resident eyebrow/LVL eyelash and makeup artist. She is passionate about being able to make clients feel more confident and happy in their own skin.
Brings with her years of knowledge and experience having worked for many major brands within the makeup & beauty industry, whilst frequently applying her skill sets to weddings, photoshoots.
Lauren will help you to master the perfect brow shape & style for your face through a personalised and tailored treatment, whilst educating you on any areas needed to grow, and the best makeup to use on any gaps until your dream brow shape has been achieved.
In her spare time she enjoys any opportunity to be creative through experimental fashion makeup, good coffee & getting out into the peak district with her dog Betty.
